We are ZNIKA.
We produce and distribute eco-friendly packaging and plant-based labels for business. We help companies abandon plastic packaging in favor of plant-based materials.

Our packaging and labels are made from the most environmentally friendly materials available on the market.

The materials we use include:

What are eco packaging and labels?

Our packaging and labels have a low environmental footprint (water footprint, carbon footprint) and compostability. We strive to make as much of our product range compostable, biodegradable or recycled as possible.

As a result, our packaging will not stay on Earth for hundreds of years, but will simply disappear....

We strive to analyze all the advantages and disadvantages of a given material, and our sustainability experts are constantly expanding our product and material offerings to bring you the greenest solutions.

What does it mean for packaging to be compostable?

Compostable packaging is one that breaks down into organic matter (biomass, water, carbon dioxide) during the composting process. It is very important that compostable packaging does not leave behind any toxic substances or microplastics, so it can later be used as biohumus for agriculture or gardening.

The composting process uses moisture, microorganisms and temperature to decompose compostable packaging in a few weeks or so (depending on the type and thickness of the material).

There are two compostability standards on the market:

- Home compostability - the packaging can be thrown into a home composter or BIO garbage can.

- industrial compostability - the package can be put into a BIO basket, so it will go to an industrial composting plant.

There are various compostable materials that come in many forms, such as film, fiber or pulp. This allows us to create different types of packaging for any industry.

What are bioplastics?

The term "bioplastics" is very broad, so we will focus on those bioplastics that we use ourselves. These are bioplastics that look and behave like regular plastic, except that they are created from a mix of biopolymers and natural materials (such as cornstarch). This is an alternative to environmentally harmful plastic packaging.

The bioplastics we use have the same properties as plastic packaging with the difference that they can undergo the composting process we explained above.

Do the materials you use leave behind microplastics?

No, all the materials we use for packaging decompose into natural substances (biohumus)and do not leave behind harmful substances and microplastics.
